Pyroban has announced 2025 training dates for in-person training courses aimed at forklift service engineers with no experience of ATEX or Pyroban systems. These dates are also open to Engineers seeking refresher training who prefer face to face training rather than taking advantage of Pyroban’s online refresher training.
Pyroban provides comprehensive training to give forklift service engineers the skills and experience to maintain Pyroban equipment safely. In the past these courses have always been in person, but Pyroban’s elearning options offer greater flexibility to update and enhance the technical skills of MHE service engineers who have been trained previously and are already responsible for maintaining explosion proof (ATEX) forklift trucks.
Any equipment fitted with Pyroban systems requires regular maintenance to ensure that it’s working correctly and is providing the correct level of protection at all times. That’s where forklift service engineers recently trained on the Pyroban systems are essential. Do you need initial or refresher training – now available online?
Pyroban courses for Engineers in materials handling equipment (MHE) applications
The initial Pyroban training course is designed to help works and maintenance engineers, field service engineers, and service managers to maintain any Pyroban equipment in the field, from explosion protected lift trucks and warehouse trucks, to plant equipment.
Topics covered in the training include a basic introduction into explosion protection, as well as methods of protection, maintenance and inspection, and Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22, and are relevant whether you’re using diesel or electric equipment.
Pyroban MHE engineer training courses will be held throughout 2025 in both Cannock, West Midlands, and Shoreham by Sea, West Sussex. Note that online refresher training is available all year round.

2025 Pyroban “Refresher Training” course dates – online
Refresher training for service engineers is divided into five sections, including general hazardous area safety and ATEX modules. Candidates can choose subjects to cover in greater depth depending on the type of equipment in their fleet. The choice includes electric equipment for Zone 1, or diesel equivalent, and either gas detection for diesel or electric equipment in Zone 2.
For the interactive eLearning course users are given individual logins with each section, which includes theory-based learning and follow-up questions. The course is easy to navigate, highly engaging, and visual. It takes around one hour to complete and targets engineers working with Pyroban systems.
